Studio design, systems and crews for live television
Six areas of work, from first layout drawings to technical crews on the day. Use them together for a full studio build, or call on one when you only need that part.
Six services covering the whole live studio
Each service can stand alone or sit inside a larger project. A new studio usually draws on all of them, while an existing one may need only lighting, audio or a fresh gallery layout. We describe the scope in writing so you know what is included before work begins.
Studio Design and Fit-Out
We plan the layout, cabling and furniture of a television studio and manage the build from drawings to handover.
Camera and Vision Systems
Supply and setup of studio cameras, robotic heads, prompters and vision mixing for live programmes.
Lighting Design
LED lighting rigs and control desks arranged for flattering faces, clean backgrounds and low heat.
Acoustic Treatment and Audio
Sound treatment for studio walls and ceilings, plus microphone, mixing and talkback installations.
Gallery and Workflow Setup
Control room layouts, intercom, graphics and playout systems tested together before your first live show.
Live Show Crew Support
Experienced technical crews for interviews, panel shows and live events, on a day or season basis.
If you are unsure where your project fits, describe the programme and the room. We will suggest which services apply and which you can leave out.
ContactFrom first enquiry to a working studio
The process is the same whether the job is a full fit-out or a single upgrade. It moves from conversation to written scope, then build, testing and handover, with you informed at each stage.
Enquiry
You contact us through the contact page with a description of the programme, the room and your timing. We read it carefully and reply with the questions that shape the scope.
Site visit and scope
We look at the space, measure it and talk to the people who will use it. A written scope follows, listing what is included, what is not and what could change it.
Quotation and confirmation
You receive a written quotation. Work starts once you confirm it in writing, and the invoice is paid by bank transfer under the payment and refund policy.
Design and build
We produce drawings for your approval, then install furniture, cabling, lighting, audio and gallery systems. Progress notes keep you informed without needing you on site daily.
Testing and handover
All systems are run together against the written test plan. We hand over drawings, results and notes, and stay on hand through your first rehearsals.
Gallery and Workflow Setup
Control room layout
We plan seating, monitor walls and desk positions around how your crew works. Sightlines and cable runs are drawn up for your sign-off before any equipment is installed.
Intercom and talkback
Talkback is configured so director, vision mixer, sound and floor can speak without crosstalk. We agree channel groupings with you and label them clearly for new crew.
Graphics and playout
Graphics and playout systems are connected to the vision mixer and tested with your own templates and clips, so what appears on air matches what you rehearsed.
Combined system test
Cameras, audio, graphics and playout are run together against a written test plan. Faults at the joins between systems are found in rehearsal, not during transmission.
Describe your programme and we will scope the work
